ABOUT US

Redeemer Anglican Church is an ACNA congregation in the urban heart of Richmond, Virginia, built around a vision of Gospel Formation for Missional Presence. We believe the good news of Jesus doesn’t just inform us—it transforms us into people who participate in God’s mission in the world. The Church is not a subculture, a building, or a movement. It is the making of a new humanity.

We begin with curiosity—asking the essential human questions:

What story am I in? Who am I? With whom do I belong? How do I change? Where do I make my life? What is my purpose? How do I love?

These questions demand more than doctrinal answers; they call for embodied belief—lived ways of knowing.

That’s why our life together is shaped by seven core practices, each rooted in one of these questions:

• Telling the story of the Bible as the true and better narrative.
• Embracing a new identity in Jesus—received, secure, and stable.
• Finding belonging in the church and extending hospitality to the stranger.
• Cultivating virtue through redemptive habits.

• Laboring in renewed vocations for the common good.
• Reordering our imaginations through mystery and beauty.

Our hope is that, as we practice Gospel Formation together, we will become the missional presence of Jesus—among our friends, in our neighborhoods, at our workplaces, and throughout our city.

CLASSIFICATION

• STAFF LEVEL: Full-time Director
• REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Ministries
• COMPENSATION:
  • For each salary range, we offer full health benefits + 6% matching retirement contribution, depending on candidate’s experience and training
  • $45,000 - $55,000 for a candidate with limited youth ministry experience + partial (or no) seminary training.
  • $55,000-$65,000 for a candidate with limited youth ministry experience
  • a seminary degree.
  • $65,000-$75,000 for a candidate with significant youth ministry experience + a seminary degree.
  • $75,000-$85,000 for a candidate with significant youth ministry experience + a seminary degree + is ordained to the priesthood in the ACNA.

POSITION SUMMARY

• Lead and coordinate the Youth Fellowship (6th - 12th grades), including developing and implementing YF programs that align with the larger vision and ethos of Redeemer; providing spiritual guidance and care to volunteer leaders, students, and parents; outreach to new students and families at Redeemer; ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
